A campfire has a temperature line. The closer you sit, the warmer you are. The further you sit, the cooler you are. It is a spot to be most comfortable in the night air. You can even build a small fire with a coal hole that will warm your… (Old rock lyric reference), butt beside the fire.
A campfire also lights the night. It light flickers in intensity, with its yellow and orange-ish glow, revealing a wonderful ambiance.
It also lights up the eyes in the night. Don’t tell Eddy. Although with the look in his eyes, it is assumed he knows.
